Staying Connected

By: Lisa Marie Koebcke

There are not many dealers we come into contact with who don’t have their time maxed out. In fact, most wish they just had more hours in a day to get work done. That said, it is easy to lose sight and focus on “continuing education”. What I mean by that is allocating time that you specifically set aside to work on your business and expose your staff to great networking and training opportunities.

Are you seizing at least one opportunity a quarter to devote time to learning about new products or meeting key players in our field that will help you grow and stay on the leading edge?

If the answer is no, here are a few tips to make sure this is a priority for you:

  1. Assign a driver: Make it a part of a team member’s role to seek out opportunities that your entire team can partake in. A great goal could be having that key person schedule one event a quarter that would benefit your whole organization. CE Pro is a great place to start. The weekly newsletters advertise ongoing webinars, meet and greets, live events, and more!

  2. Keep it cost effective: Travel for your entire team can get pricey. Be sure to embrace local and free events as much as possible; and when travel is not option, webinars are a great tool to leverage. Perhaps you budget one live event per year where all of the key players in your company can attend. The outcome will be great for team building as well.

  3. Think outside the box: Opportunities to learn and grow exist outside of our field and in fact could benefit you even more! Encourage your driver to look for events that will help you grow in other areas – for example, sales & marketing. Email us at info@pulsegroupb2b.com if you don’t know where to start!

We here at Pulse Group are constantly embracing opportunities like this to stay connected and the benefit is undeniable:

  • Our team stays inspired and is constantly learning and growing.
  • We can make time for team building in the midst of a high-demand schedule.
  • We constantly develop new and meaningful partnerships.

We are almost halfway through the year, and our challenge to you is simple:

Find, schedule, and participate in at least 2-3 opportunities before the end of 2015!

You’ll be happy you did.
